Jack Fogel is a designer and fabricator based in Oakland, CA who uses digital and analog fabrication methods to create prototypes, furniture, installations, and larger structures.
Born and raised in San Diego, Jack studied architecture and design fabrication at Carnegie Mellon University. Outside the classroom, he worked at Standard & Custom in Pittsburgh, using parametric design in custom fabrication projects.
He completed graduate studies at the Architecture Association's Design + Make program in the UK, engaging in experiments surrounding the collaboration of robotically machined timber joinery and non prescribed human assembly.
Jack is currently the Design and Fabrication Specialist at Studio 45 in San Francisco, continuing to seek opportunities within the growing field of architectural design fabrication in the Bay Area. In his free time, he likes to surf, hike and garden.
